Toronto's older brick houses — the semis and row houses of Leslieville, Riverdale, the Annex and Roncesvalles — give wasps plenty of ways in: gaps in old mortar, loose wooden soffits, and the spot where a porch roof meets the main wall. In the postwar bungalows and backsplits of North York, Etobicoke and Scarborough, the usual entry points are aluminum soffits, roof vents and the gap behind a gutter.
Laneway garages and backyard sheds are common nest sites, and paper wasps like the underside of balcony railings, deck boards and barbecue lids. Homes backing onto the Don and Humber ravines also see bald-faced hornets, which hang their grey paper nests in trees and hedges.
If the nest is on a condo or townhouse balcony, it's worth telling your property manager too. Call us any time, day or night, or text us where you're seeing the wasps — a photo from a safe distance helps.

What we quote is what you pay.
Visible nest
Visible means the nest itself can be seen — for example, hanging under an eave or attached to a wall.
Hidden nest
Hidden means wasps are entering and leaving through an opening — a soffit, wall void, or hole — but the nest itself isn't visible from outside.
More than one nest, or a nest that needs ladder access, adds to the total. We confirm your total price, including any required ladder fees, before starting work. Commercial and institutional properties are quoted separately.
Our commitment
If wasps return to the nest we treated within 90 days, we come back and deal with it at no additional charge.
Good to know
Call us at 1-800-800-WASP and we'll tell you the earliest available appointment.
Yes. When there's a visible nest, we take it down and take it with us when we're done. A hidden nest inside a wall or soffit is usually treated in place. If you want it taken out, that means opening up the wall — we do that too, at a separately quoted cost.
We use professional, Health Canada-registered products and apply them according to the label. For a hidden nest the treatment is targeted: a small amount of product goes directly into the nest entrance or the wall, soffit or roof void where the colony is, not sprayed across your home or yard. Keep children and pets away from the immediate treatment area while we work and until any dust has settled. Your technician will tell you if your job needs anything more.
No. As long as we can safely reach the nest, you don't need to be there.
Any time — phones are answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Texts and online requests usually get a reply within a few hours; if you write to us overnight, you'll hear back first thing in the morning.
Yes. Text 416-700-4259 with your name, service address and a brief description of the problem. We'll discuss pricing and availability by text—no phone call required.
Yes. Photos of the area where the wasps are entering can help us understand the problem before arrival.
Activity can stop the same day, although some nests take longer after treatment. We'll explain what to expect for your particular job.
Some activity in the first few days is normal, and it should tail off from there. If it hasn't settled down, call or text us and we'll come back.
Yes — from Etobicoke to Scarborough and from the lake up to Steeles, along with communities across the GTA.
